Please Support Med Rag - ACTIVELY.

Introduction
The purpose of Rag is to bond the Medical Faculty, especially getting the freshmen united together along with the REST of Medicine with our Float and Dance Production.

As MediCamp inducts and orientates our M1s-to-be, Med Rag is the FIRST EVER showcase of our MEDICINE METTLE to the REST of NUS. This is why it means so much to us.

If you would like to know more about our Med Rag theme (which is undisclosed for now), it concerns the dreams and aspirations of one taking flight.

The prospects of our chosen theme as well as the embryonic designs for the Float and Dance are very very promising, and we look forward to bringing back the Trophy which we claimed last year baby.

Here’s where we will be needing help in:
Basically - cash, manpower and kind (materials etc).

Please help us (where you can) in the following, in any way at all really (even if it’s just sewing ONE costume, or donating a box of nails):

FUNDING
This is such a turn off, but please hear our plight:
MED RAG IS SELF FUNDING – ie ALL THE MONEY HAS TO BE SELF RAISED OR FROM OUR OWN POCKETS.
We do NOT get any money at all from Med Soc. Yes, it’s really an uphill task.
And with that, we need to raise a total of $6.5k at least, which covers construction cost, truck rental, welfare for the people, and professional engineer inspection (this is a retarded NUSSU requirement that costs us $2k). We expect to exceed it, as this is a conservative estimate.

PLEASE CONTACT ALOYSIUS IF YOU KNOW OF ANYBODY OR IF YOU HAVE A DONATION TO MAKE TO MEDRAG.

Float Engineering + Building
Please contact: Aaron / James .
- people good with HANDYMAN skills
- people good at CONSTRUCTION and DESIGNING structures (any scouts?)
- people to ACTUALLY lay down the foundation for float construction (before the freshmen come take over)
- OGLs, please encourage your freshmen to come support float and help us in building it

Costumes
Please contact Jon Tay.
- people who enjoy designing costumes
- people who enjoy sewing
- people who have sewing machines to loan or allow the work to be done at their homes
- people with sources for material
- OGLs, please ask your freshmen who can help in this respect

Welfare
Please contact Gerard.
- people who can cook
- people who know of contacts to supply food/drinks
- we will need SNACKS and BOTTLED water chiefly as sustenance for the labourers

Marketing – THE MONEY ENGINE, which will have to earn $6.5k
Please contact Jonk or Huijin.
- sponsors for materials (eg. Textiles, paints, etc) and foodstuff (welfare)
- donors (bigshots and rich docs and all kinds)
- people with money to donate
- people willing to help us in reaching out for peoples’ support/donors/searching for raw material
- people who have raw materials to supply/sponsor

Thank you!
